Factory radio
Hello, my radio sound is not playing through the left side of my speakers messed with the balance and fader. It works fine on the right side speakers. Any advice? Also is there an aftermarket replacement for the ugly metal radio antenna,Maybe one like the new cars have? Thank you.
Welcome to ClubLexus.
There are facilities [search the web] who repair Lexus/Toyota head units. They also have instructions on how to remove and install.
If you notice the head unit [which has the radio] includes A/C functions, so a standard head unit can not be swapped in. If you seriously want to swap, there are double din slots insert available [may be from one manufacturer].
You can source a used unit and that may be the most economical way.
As far as antenna is concerned, the hole in the side fender will always exist. There are stubby antennas available [again search].
Also read up the sticky threads. "Aux-in" has some interesting discussion. The head unit also has serial communication port.
