Gear change problems
I love my "old" rx 300 but today it would not change from the 3 to the 4 gear after i left the highway..! Then i turn of the engine and startet it again, and then it was back to normale.. enybody know what is wrong..? I have tried it before last year...

Is the Check engine light ON? Before we go there does it work? [As you turn the ignition key from ACC -> Run (step before the start) the instrument panel goes through self test and the warning lights should come on.

There are fault codes [can be read with OBDII reader] that can prevent getting into higher gears. We refer to that as 'limp mode' ... essentially to limp your way to a repair facility.

So check with an OBDII reader and post the error codes for us to help. Note: Not all issues are monitored/reported with OBDII.
