Intermittent P1150 after replacing A/F Sensor
I have a 2000 RX with 21500 miles on it.
I got the p1150 code and replaced the A/F sensor with a Denso part.
6 months later, the code came back, so thinking I could have gotten a bad part I replaced it again with another Denso part. I'm still getting an intermittent code that comes and goes.
I started down the diagnostic path with the Lexus Repair Manual and the sensor tested fine. The next pathway after checking for the oil pressure leaking is fuel pressure.
I have noticed in the last few months that when I accelerate, the car is very subtly jerky. The acceleration is not smooth. That seems to fit for a possible fuel pressure problem and I have been feeling that for awhile but not sure what it was. I have had the coils go out here and there and it almost feels like the engine is misfiring, but I know it isn't.
What should I look at first?
Fuel Filter?
Cleaning Injectors?
Fuel pump?
Where would you recommend I start? How can I test or verify the fuel pressure?
Everything else on the car works. And maintenance is up to date for the mileage it has.
I appreciate your help!
Thanks!
Dorian

"21500 miles"? Wow that's low.
"I have noticed in the last few months that when I accelerate, the car is very subtly jerky."
Consider the VVT solenoids. You can try just cleaning the screens.
