What years best for no transmission issues?
Hi Guy's,
We know about the 1'st Gen RX300's. Are the later models any better? There are plenty for sale around Denver area with
pretty fair prices.

GM

From what I've heard, 01-03 were the improved models were several things were addressed. Not sure about the transmission in particular though. What matters if the proper services were done on time. My 01 at 134,000 had proof of the timing job and fluids done at 101,000. So I just dropped the trans pan and put a new filter in an flushed the fluid. Its been feeling great. Look for one that was serviced in time, or that doesn't have black transmission fluid in it when you check. You also want to stay away from small dealers. They don't tell you they are until you show up in person. You will see bright new trans fluid in cars they sell even if it has 180,000 miles and was never done before that. These are the cars that don't last.

Hey JAB,
I spent 10 years of my life in Va and west VA
I was thinking the years 2004-2008. I see them for sale quiet often around here. Not bad deals at all . Getting ready for a long 4000 mile or so
on our rx300. Hope it does well in may
