My Lexus rx300 (2000) model in 2016 when I was traveling displayed Check engine on the dash board ,I scanned it to know what the problem is ,it was discovered that the knock sensor bank circuit 2 was faulty . Due to this problem ,my gear stopped selecting normal the way it used to be . I decided to change the two knock sensors . After then ,the gear began to work normal . Two weeks later ,Check engine appeared again on the dashboard screen and I went to scan it immediately it was discovered that the speed sensor was faulty. Decided to drive it like that and on a particular day ,the gear stopped selecting ( both drive and reverse stopped working ) We changed the gear filter and oil and the gear started working again . But what I observed is that when the gear is changing from 1-2-3 it will jerk . Don't know what to do again . Please what could be the cause ? Or if I change the gear box,it would start to work fine ? Please need your prompt advice . Thanks

Fresh fluid
Not sure what maints measures you have done up to this point but I tend to like to narrow thing down from the simple (cheaper) solutions before I start digging deeper. That being said, have you checked your transmission fluid levels and if so, when was the last time fluid was replaced completely with fresh DEX VI? Peace.

Rx 300
Hi,everyone I am new to forums so I hope this is ok,I recently bought a lexus and I do love this rx.I am trying to fix her up into tiptop shape. Started bu replacing the knock sensors, that was quite a job but I made it easier for myself next time I have to pull the intake by cutting a slot in the bracket behind plenum so a socket will fit and you can ratchet it.big time saver.anyone know about key programming?
