If the shop still has the old struts, ask them to remove the springs and save them for when you can spend a little more to have new struts installed with the original springs. Original springs are the key and irreplaceable. No aftermarket will perform the same for your exact vehicle. Good luck

 

Yeah, that would have been the thing to do, but at the time my wife had a brain hemorrhage so, basically, any port in a storm and I didn't have the wherewithal to project very far into the future.

As rough and loud as she is now, I still love this machine.
