Cool

I bought my altezzas from procarparts about 6 months back and it was a 15 minute project. I didn't change bulbs or splice wires, I just replaced the old with the new. They look great. Just like the factory installed ones.

Question

I found a alternate retailer that might be able to get the Depo RX300 taillights but I need Depo part numbers to be sure they are the same as the ones that people have bought from www.procarparts.com!

If anyone that has bought the newer RX300 taillights from www.procarparts.com has the Depo part numbers I would really appreciate it. If they match up I will post the company that I found so others can get these hard to find aftermarket 2001-2002 RX300 "Altezza" taillights that will fit all RX300's from 1999-2003.

Obviously the sooner the better!

Thanks in advance,
badams

Question

Well I gave up waiting for www.procarparts.com to get their RX300 "Altezza" taillights in. My alternate source for the same taillights was from www.1001headlights.com, but they would have cost around $400 and I would have to buy each light seperately (and not sure if they came with a new wiring harness or not).

I just bought a set of 2002 Lexus RX300 taillights off of ebay and I'm waiting for them to arrive. Got them for $260.

Any suggestions on this outer taillight problem? My taillights are not going to come with a seperate wiring harness like the taillights from www.procarparts.com do.

The Lexus dealer tells me I will mess up my on board computer if I install these newer taillights in an older RX. Maybe if the bulb wattage is different, but not if most of the lights use the same wires and bulb wattage. Does anyone know if that is the only difference...the bulb wattage? Or is the entire socket different?

Anyone know of a truly successful 2001-2002 taillight swap? Again I am getting the taillights off of an actual RX300 not aftermarket lights.

Thanks,
badams

Anyone find out where they are selling a set of tail lights for retrofitting the older RX models? I don't like the black out look of the new Altezza on a white RX.
