RX300 Driving Position Memory System
Hello, we purchased a 2001 RX300 used 5 years ago. It's my wifes vehicle. I do drive it every now and then, and now I'm finally getting around to programming the Driving Position Memory System. It has where you can set 2 seat positions. After reading the owners manual, I had no problem setting a seat position for the number one spot, but nothing is happening when I try and set another position for the number 2 spot. It does not beep or anything. All else on the vehicle works as it should. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks for any help.
Early RX300 has somewhat not so smart driver settings.
If the battery is disconnected for a about 20 mins, the settings are lost.
Settings are not tied to the key. [no such thing as user1 key => user1 settings, user2 key => user2 settings]
Rear view and side mirrors are not memorized.
Please check the user manual, You need to be in Park to set the settings and recall the settings [brake pedal may need to be pressed .. please check].
Back to the issue ... if you follow the instructions [P etc] and your RX fails to memorize, try disconnecting the battery for 20 mins or more and retry.
If things dont work out, try storing a different location [there may be a dead spot in the position sensor] or try swapping your desired locations ... memory1 with memory2
If the above does not work, then the culprit most likely is the seat memory module.
