I started up the RX and i felt a dead cylinder. Drove lightly and the engine light started flashing. Got the P0305 #5 cyl misfire. Used my "torgue pro" app and saw the high fuel trim. I swapped the coil #5 with #6 after i cleared the code. Then got the #6 misfire which tells me the coil is bad. I ordered a cheap one off ebay to try. Just thought i would post up any problem that may help point someone in the right direction with similar issue. peace out!

 

Ok I installed the $17 ebay coil pack and I have no more dead cylinder. The bad news is that i reached in my pocket tonight to answer my droid dna phone and the screen is destroyed. I dont even know how or when it happened cause it was good when i left to go out to eat, got a phone call about an hour later and when i answered it, it was completely shattered.

 

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did you have something else in pocket that stressed the screen?

I see no connection with the RX or the coilpack.

no I never carry anything in my pocket with my phone thats why im so puzzled as to what caused the shattered screen on my phone. I orded a screen for it and will have to tackle that lil project when it gets here.

 

I do. He was carrying the old coilpack in the same pocket with the phone....
