Door compatibility by year?
Hello all,
I am not a clever man and drove my back right door straight into the side of my house (it came out of nowhere). It's pretty bad. Bad enough that I've been cruising junkyards online to see if I can find a replacement.
I have a 2001 RX in silver. I found a really great deal on a 2000 model door in the same color. The next best option is repainting a different 2001 model door, which would be about $200 more expensive.
Are the 2000 and 2001 doors going to be compatible or should I bite the bullet and paint the 2001 model?
Thanks for the help

The 1999 & 2000 had plastic interior door release handles. 2001 and up had metal interior handles.
Aside from that, can't think of anything. You should easily be able to swap the handles out though.
BTW, before you throw out the old door be sure to take out the door lock actuator and window motor. You never know when it can come in handy.
