No matter what position I place the control for where air is deflected to, it only goes into the defroster. I am trying to get the Air Conditioner air to come out of the dash. What actually controls this? Is it a motor or vacuum lines? If a motor, what is the actual name of the motor so I can replace it?

It's a servo, it's called the "Air Mode Servo".

Appreciate the response. What is involved in changing this out. Suspect like most parts for this car it is a job and a half.
