Noisy front suspension
Hi Guys i just bought a 1998 Harrier 3.0l 2 wheel drive and have noticed a lot of noise coming from the front suspension but this only happens in the mornings when car is cold after driving for a while the noise which is like rubber noise seems to go away.
has anyone experienced this before

Please do a search.
As these cars age, the rubber strut mounts tend to wear out and cause a metal on metal contact. It's often more predominant in the morning when it's cold because the rubber has shrank over night. Until heated up, and even then you will still have noise, it will be louder.

You will see the procedure to get at these pieces of rubber and also my modification of using some plastic hosing in place of the rubber pieces.
