Darn near anything electronic can have intermittent issues. Most guys replace the sub wiring harness while they are in there, could even be that harness. How did the shop diagnose the clogged cat?

Please read the DIY on knock sensor. My experience was that in the beginning the error would come and go and then it became persistent. I attribute that to the knock sensor(s) are on the verge of total failure.

Got the same code 330 and have same experience with overdrive working fine on 2000, rx300. College kid drives it and said engine light goes off, on intermittently ...repair shop diagnostics came out with results that the knock sensors were fine. They tested through the wiring harness, splicing into it. Has anyone had experience to say if that is a reliable way to test knock sensors?. They wanted to test timing mechanisms next and put in new timing belt. I just picked it up to gather more thoughts and ideas.

I would keep an eye and make a fix when the error is persistent or it is verified by some other thing. Otherwise, you are shooting in the dark.
