I was checking around the car today, the usual stuff. Decided to check the tires for wear. The inside of the front tires have no tread what so ever. The back are not as bad. Im guessing that this is negative camber? Or a lack of rotating the tires? This is kinda worrying because we have been having a lot of rain today, and ive been splashing thorough deep puddles. The question is: will i need to buy a set of new tires because of this? I also noticed one of the tires has a small cut on the inside as well . Ill try to get pics up soon. thanks
Don't know if Lexus has designed in any negative camber into the suspension geometry to, say, compensate for the body roll on cornering, but for street vehicles, manufacturers don't normally put camber in to the extent that tire wear is seriously affected.
Maybe you should check your wheel alignment. Too much toe-out will scrub the inside of the tires.
If you have no tread at all left on the inside of the tires, sounds like its time to change them, especially if you drive in rain a lot.
Do you have the Integritys and how many miles do you have on them? If so, this maybe a good opportunity to get some better tires such as the Michelin CTs.
Hey man, haven't heard from you in a while. Definitely time to get some Cross Terrains Or maybe you have another tire in mind...just burn the 'ol Integritys out and replace them. But, before you do that I'd just have the dealer check out the alignment.
hey,
yeah, been kinda busy lately, havent really been posting much. I have the bridgestone duelers. im kinda worried because the roads have been all wet today. the back tires are fine though. hopefully theyll say its time to get new tires and ill get the cross terrains. hehehe.
