Default P1354

I have a 1999 RX300 and am having the same problems as others have discussed concerning the 1354 code.
I have checked the two filters and they are clean.
I have checked the OCV's and they are clean.
I hooked the ocv's to the battery and they operate.
So where do I go from here?
Even thought the ocv's operate can they be worn and still cause the problem?
Thanks for the help in advance!
David

My neighbor tried the same thing you did with energizing the solenoid, however replacing it fixed the problem. good luck

hey guys, a newbie here, but the info on these forums is awsome!! my 2000 es300 is throwing code p1354 but also codes p0300, p0302, p0304, p0306. If I'm right, that means that the VVT sensor for that side of the engine is the trouble. parts store says LH or RH choices. OK so which is it on this engine, front or back side?

Also, I've read a lot of posts that says these parts can be cleaned and reused, is that the case with this sensor?
Thanks for any help
