You can start the car and the light will not go on
You can put the car in gear and the light is off
As soon as you roll for about 5 secounds either forward or in reverse
the light comes on

If the CEL is not on, there is a good chance it will come on at some point if you kept driving for a bit.

Where I have seen instances of where a CEL does not come on, but the VSC does is related to calibration of the yaw rate sensor. Since you got a code related to it before, there's a chance that CEL would come on again at some point. Generally, these things needs to be reset at a dealer. However, I have seen a workaround on this, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...c-vsc-off.html

Default High RPM Please HELP

I recentatly had a alternator replaced I got the Lexus 300Rx back now she stAy's at 4 RPM while driving at 60MPH ,Anyone have any ideas too why and where too start, I read that there's a chance that the alternator can be the cause if not correct one or hook up correct, I have an on going problem with the mechanic I use as far as the lexus is concerned, Work on my Ford and never a problem, I beleive the Lexus is way out of his league. He hook up the reader and tell's me I need a new computor for the Lexus, CODE1201 ????

Edit: I found the matching 1201 discussion in this thread.
