Default Help! Torque wrench question

I'm in the process of doing a tranny pan drop and noticed in the step by step that some of the tightening figures given is ft-lbs and some are inch-lbs. My torque wrench is only inch-lbs so for the ft-lbs listed do I just do the conversion I.e. 8ft-lbs would be 96 inch/lbs?

Yes, that is what I have always done but I can't imagine your inch/pound torque wrench will go high enough for what you need and I always felt that a foot/pound torque wrench was not as accurate at the very low end of the scale - therefore I have two torque wrenches.

Thanks. It says it goes to 200 inch-lb so I should be good.
