Default Instrument Cluster

I bought a used instrument panel, along with some other parts, from a salvage yard (online sale). I asked for the instrument panel because I wanted a replacement "D" bulb.

The cluster supposedly came from a 2000 - don't know if it is AWD or FWD. I'm thinking of selling the cluster (sans the gear bulbs), and noticed when I was on eBay looking at the asking prices, that there appear to be 2 or more models of cluster.

Some say for 2001-03, and others say for 99 / thru 2000-06.

And yet others claim that the one they are selling will only work in AWD models, and others just FWD models.

Is there a difference? How can I tell for sure which one I have? The part number on the one I purchased is 83800-48020

Any reason why you did not just buy a brand new bulb from the dealer parts store?

All FWD RX300s have VSC which the AWD models don't need. I would assume there is an indicator light inside the cluster for that system.
Also, there could be different clusters for different model years. Sometimes the manufacturer will change small things, like the color of lights or needles, which would explain the different part numbers.

Try matching your part number to an EBAY listing.
