door panel/armrest covers?
Does anyone know of a way to keep my two dogs from clawing and scratching the rear door armrests when they stand on them to put their heads out the window? And no, any kind of dog modifications is not an option.
I'm thinking some kind of removable cover. Any suggestions?

I haven't seen anything. Although it's fun to see their excited faces sticking out the window, I suggest;
1. Get a dog cage for the rear so they can't destroy your arm rests.
2. Put your dog(s) in a pet carrier so they can't terrorize the inside of your Lexus.
3. Don't put the rear window down for them.
There should be a better solution. But this isn't a Ford Exploder or a family car. It's a luxury SUV and should probably be treated accordingly... When you go to sell your Lexus in the future, it'll be harder when there's pet stains and claw marks in the interior.

I've kept my dog in the cargo area to preserve the leather and panels but she prefers to ride in front. If I keep the nails trimmed, they don't seem to scratch.

Thanks for the reply, Handogen. Like I said, dog modifications are out of the question. And that includes their will and behavior. Oh, I wish it were different, but obviously you are not a Siberian Husky owner. Non-husky owners have no idea. They assert themselves to an extreme. They take your guidance (yelling) under consideration, but they usually assert their own will. Crating would not be worth it. You would be sorry.
It's either a armrest cover, or scratches. I guess since you don't know of any products, I should invest in a good dog grooming kit (Thanks also to Thunk for that one).
I appreciate it! happy trails...

If it's possible try to somehow wrap a few towels in the area where your dog puts his claws. Wedge them between the open window and the panel and armrest if you can someway.
Just a suggestion.

How about Con-Tact Brand contact paper? Maybe a
double application where the dogs scratch most.
Buy it at any discount store or even at contactpaper.com.
Take 10 minutes to call 1-877-353-6440 and speak with
a Con-Tact Customer Service representative. Ask them
about this type of application.
Cheap. Removeable. Replaceable. Easy to clean.
