I had a complete set of front SC400 brake laying around and before ordering new disc for tmy father's RX I decided to try them on.

Well it hapens that they fit bolt on minus some shaving on the caliper bracket and cutting two ears on the brake pad hardware (outboard). The disc are exactly the same diameter, but 8mm thicker (total 32mm). So far it seems to work well, but we didn't made lot of mileage. Since the pads we are using are about 10 k miles old shaving a bit of brake pads might be required.

The disc are from the front of a 1995 SC400. Brakes are aftermarket and they have been instaled by a previous owner on an other car I've parted out so I have no idea what brand they are.
This should give a pretty broad selection of disc brand/model in crossdriled and slotted as they are suposed to be exactly the same as the N/A MKIV Supra. The extra tickness should give the front brake more endurance.

After over 200miles no complain at all. Can't spit on free 32mm vented and crossdrilled disc.

For 25 views and no reply don't expect me to do a write-up. Now that you know this can be done without much work or special tool, go figure on your own.

the calipers are still single piston I'm assuming? i tried putting the gs430 front calipers and stuff since they are dual piston but didn't fit at all.

 

Yeah use stock caliper. You could probably find an other Toyota that use that pattern and caliper style, but I strongly beleive it will need modification eiter way.

At the end you'll still be limited by the amount of grip your tire can generate.
