This has me a bit worried since these lights came on today and don't seem to be going away while driving. In the manual it says my brake assist, stability control are not working not to mention that the 'malfunction' symbol is just 'general engine/electrical error'

Any thoughts on what I'm dealing with here?

didn't find anything major the first time i searched....but a simple wildcard * after VSC helped me find this gem:

Is the car running bad ? Any change in performance, gas mileage ?
Yes, in that "gem" of a thread (there are about 23 others) getting the codes
checked is a good start. It seems to be different for everyone. I have had the
VSC and CEL come on a few times. Car runs the came with lights off or on.
Every time so far it has just been the gas cap tightened too much, or not enough.
I have figured that out, and have a little routine I follow when getting fuel. Lights have been off ever since, and not returned.
