Default 2002 rx300 belt replacement

I have 84,000 miles and am thinking of belts replacement. What memberS posts show or explain the process the best. Why did lexus use the two belt system instead of the serpentine system on my 3.0. Any body know the toyota part numbers and is it a cheaper way to go and order them online at these so called wholesale toyota stores. Or are there just as good as oem belts at the autozone or pep boy stores. Thanks, hank

Some info here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...djustment.html

From what others have said on here you want to go with OE belts for sure, they may be cheaper anyway.

Engine certification is pretty long and extensive process. That is why it is advantageous to use a certified engine in another model. Transverse mounted engine have their own challenge. In any case it is not such a biggie as the belts these days last quite long. Just pay attention to the tension. Too loose, the belt will slip and loose its grip. Too tight, you will loose a bearing or two.

You can get them online for cheap.

Not sure what the part #'s are, but they pull up if you search for them.
