I noticed this issue for a while now. I have a few winding roads around. When I am driving down them turning the wheel left and right @ about 25 - 30mph, when the wheel is returning to it original position in the straight direction, it shudders, sometimes a lot and some times not at all. I did the power steering flush, the DIY way. And made sure that the system was completely bleed afterwords. Any ideas on what could be contributing to this.

Tires...

Try driving straight then slightly pull the wheel either L/R (11:30 or 12:30 position)and see if it shudders.

 

Can be quite a few things ... tires, wheels, play in steering linkages, suspension and ball joints. You will have to go through process of elimination. For tires and wheels you can swap front to back [assuming the back are good]. For other issues, you may like to go to a mechanic. Some will inspect for a fee, which can be credited once you come back to them for repairs.
