Default Car died while driving...won't start

Hi everyone,

I have a 2000 RX300 AWD. I was driving last night and my car died. It was as though I ran out of gas but had 1/2 tank. Could this be the fuel pump? It's turning over like it wants to start but it seems like it's not getting gas.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Work the gas pedal while trying to start it. If you can get it going by doing this, the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) needs cleaning or replacement. Here is IACV procedure if that's what it turns out to be. Fuel pump failure on the RX is highly unlikely but anything is possible.

Thank you for your response. My husband is going to do this today. Wish me luck!
