Default How do I remove lower body cladding?

1999 RX300. How do I remove the lower body cladding panels on the outside of the doors? I see various plastic nuts around the perimeter, accessible simply by opening the door, but removing those nuts does not cause the panels to detach. What is the secret? I hope that I don't have to remove the inner door panels.

It has been a while, but I distinctly remember that door panel need not be removed. Check around the door jamb too.

there are screws accessible if you have the doors open, then you need to pull with all your might. It's held on with 3M double sided tape and a few clips... Just yank and it'll come off

i don't remember exactly, just pull from one side to the other. There's a strip of tape along the top, with a few scattered pieces everywhere else. As soon as you have the screws out, it's all 3M tape and 3-4 clips. Don't be afraid to YANK, just don't bend the plastic too-too much of you might chip the paint etc.
