Ok so I began to install amp wires in my friends RX300. Seeing as how there is no good spot to drill, I used a gromet that goes directly to the glove box from the engine bay. Now whenever the headlights are off the dash lights work. But as soon as I click the parkinglights or headlights on the dash lights go out. What could be the problem? Is there a wire in that grouping of wires that could have been cut by me pulling in the 8 gauge wire, could something have come unplugged?

The dash lights are full on when the headlights are off (daytime). You adjust the dash light intensity when the headlights are on (nighttime) with the brightness control on the center dash unit. The solution may be as simple as turning up the brightness control.
