RX300 Cross bars

RX300 Cross bars
Please have mercy, for I am going to look pretty ignorant here...
I was wondering if the Roof rack cross bars on the 99-03 rx300 were the same length.
It looks to me like there is a front and a back of differing lengths and I noticed that there are 2 part numbers pt27848980xf(Front) and xr(Rear).
Does anyone have one of these sets to verify that they are not the same length. I am currenty trying to figure out how to mount them and am not having alot of success.
Any help would be wonderfull.

I just checked mine (removerd them several months ago) and in fact the front is about 1" shorter than the rear bar. In my case the max weight sticker is on the front bar. Hope that helps.
A threaded plate slides into the track and the bar screws into the plate.
