We have an '02 RX300 with 62,000 miles and the 5 spoke stock wheels. Last weekend while washing it, I noticed bubbling of the powder coating on 3 of the 4 wheels. Is this normal????????

 

You may want to take a picture of this, but from what you are saying that is not normal.

 

Well while racing unicorns in Guadalajara with my cousins I noted that the paint/powder coat can flake if the rims have chemicals such as brake cleaner sprayed on them, and not removed promptly. Might be the cause of the problem, might not be.
