i actually like how the oem spare wheel looks like and they feel lighter then the oem silver rims. i always wondered if i could just have those as my main wheels? but are they strong enough to handle daily driving?

i was thinking about going to a junkyard and buying 3 spare rx300 rims. then changing them all to the same type tire...if they aren't already.

You should be able to use them. I know someone in a neighboring state who comes to our track in a Ford Explorer (he can't beat me), but he did exactly what you did and use spare Explorer rims on all 4 tires...avoids theft, too.

 

well i wanted to keep all my original rims in case i ever want to swap them out again.
