I do like the front-runner style grille guard and the Jaos one, but don't like the thought of it intefering with my SRS sensors. It sounds like WAAG is THE way to go for sidesteps. I would never want to drill.

I hope you get your sidesteps alright, I'm excited for you!! I want to see how they look Black tube with the aluminum steps on a black RX - I'll bet that'll look awesome! I saw powder coated side tubes on the MDX message board a while ago and really like the look - that's the type of fitment I am hoping for too. I think that may work best with a Burnished Gold RX.

Let me know how it goes

WAAG states that if put on properly, their stuff will NOT interefere with the airbags.

That picture you attached is a shot of a Manik step. Gotta drill to install those.

I wish that JAOS made the rear skid plate/guard in black powder coat like WAAG. I have gold emblems on my black Rex and mixing chrome and gold will look pimpish. Is that a word?

Hey guys.... Yeah the "running boards" were very easy to install I did it by myself and it took less than 1/2hr. It would have been quicker if I had someone helping me because I had to hold one side with my shoulder and the other side with my knee, but other than that it was a piece of cake....

And with the anodized silver steps you have to becareful because in the summer everyone who was wearing shorts or skirts would scratch there legs getting in. I am not sure if the black ones are plastic or rubberized so with the silver ones just be weary.

I am going to wash my car in a bit so I'll have the pic of the SS exhaust for ya.... Later guys....

Hey, Rxtc, who did you talk to about JAOS? i was jus wondering... i'm still thinking of getting JAOS for my RX... As for the tubes... Manik requires drilling?? I didn't know that!!! i was pretty sure i was going to get Manik side tubes but since now i hear its drilling... i dont really want it now... You sure its drilling???

As for the Wagg side tubes, do they have the same color scheme as the manik one posted on this thread?? the one LxRex posted... Because i dont want black side tubes, i want it silver =)

I can tell you first hand that both kinds of steps are aluminum. It's just that the black ones are powder coated.

What I like about these steps is that the instep is held on by screws (that's why I'm able to change out the black ones for silver). If you didn't like the grip on either step, one could take them off and dip them in something like that rubberized bed coating that they use in the back of pick-up trucks. Very cool.

spinteews-

Manik drilling, here's the proof: http://www.manik.com/support/instructions/I925754T.pdf

I'm not sure who else makes silver? WAAG might make clear anodized custom if you ask them. Email support@waag.com and ask for Joe.

Let me know if you get stuck trying to find the silver tubes for the Rex.

You sure did wash it, looks great! What kind of tires do you have, is it the Bridgestone Dulers?

Are the tubes in the picture below the Manik's? That's the style I wanted, but don't want to drill I like the way it stop in the back w/o wrapping back under the vehicle.

Nick, The tires are the factory dulers. As for the side steps I'm not sure if those are the Manik's. But my Waag look almost the same. They don't wrap under, they stop just like those. AND ALL I HAD TO DO IS BOLT THEM ON....

Mr. Spin... Hows it going???? The exhaust is just the Muffler thats it. So all you do is unscrew the tension bolts and pull the stock one off and put the new one on... If your leasing it would be a quick thing to take off when your lease is over... As for the intake I think I'm going to put it on today... It is supposed to snow tomorrow over here so I really should get it out of the way.... Later....
