I tell you what, I will take some more photos tonight of the plug and the connector with the tape off. I used to have some photos that were shots from underneath, but they don't quite show the area as well.

Okay I got a bunch of pictures.

I took the tape off and this is the plug with the wire attached to it (as you would see in your own RX300).

Now that wire you pull out of the plug, this is it.

Now, the trick is to reach underneath like so and with your pointer finger push the latch underneath the plug that I will show in the next photo.

Now see the the little latch on top, that is what you have to push in. I actually did the first time with my thumb as it was a little tough. This latch faces downward when plugged in.

Thanks Lexmex for the explanation and for the pictures as well, however, this way is not applicable for all vehicles, I have a GS300, year 2000 and I haven't seen such connection.

i did this mod super easy just the connecter was a bit of a pain to get off gotta pull hard. i used to have only my fogs on and my headlights on when ever i wanted them on. all i did was switch the fog and low beam connecters. they are both 9006. so now you fog light on/off ring switch thing controls your headlights. its as easy as that.

I unplugged the fuse (7.5 amp) in the small fuse box under the hood in my RX 300. Owners manual says DRL system, but the lights came on when I started the car. Don't see why the lights still came on, but guess I'll just have to disconnect the plug.
