i want a little more color on the inside of my 99 rx300 awd. its so plain and boring. i love how in other cars, like my friends bmw x3 and my dads escalade how there's black, chrome, light leather, and wood trim. here's some pics

i like the black on the dash (the flat place between the steering wheel and windshield)
i also like the chrome accents which the rx completely lacks

It's possible that a good leather shop could dye the upper panel for you, but its color stability in the sun may be a problem. Consult a good custom interior specialist. Forget one of those "rugs" that goes on top of the dash, a deploying passenger airbag could cause all kinds of damage - specifically having to have that rug removed from your passenger's windpipe - in the event of an accident.
