Im going to have to agree that the best way to get rid of the noise is replace the mast i had to replace mine as well. The masts at my dealer costs a whopping 103.96 that is list cost. Part Number is 86337-0W030.

I bought mine at a bike shop. I'm sure ebay has it too.

You gotta get it at a bike shop. Auto stores do not carry it.

I know how you feel. My antenna used to sound so bad at traffic stop. I swear that I could hear people laughing.

The grinding noise will come back after a while. It is caused mainly by the dirt and soot that get trapped into the antenna. The teflon lube helps get the soot out and lubricate the parts.

My antenna was replaced 3 years ago after a car wash mishap. It was quiet for just a month then the noise came back. Don't waste your money. A $5 bottle of teflon lube will cure all. Use as directed in my previous post.

Picked some up at a local bike shop, both the Raceday and something with Teflon. The Raceday stuff seemed to be lighter weight and after numerous runs of reapplication and cleaning it does seem to run a LOT quiter! Thks all for the tip.

I've had to replace mine once before and thats the correct part number, but I got mine for $69 at the closest Lexus dealer to me (in Cal) and I had people tell me they got them for under $40 from various places on line. I'd shop around. Maybe try Park Place Lexus in Texas, Iv'e ordeed a few parts form them on reccomendations from others and they seem to be quite reputable and have decent prices.
