Default I joined the dark side

Well I traded my RX300 in on a 2007 Nissan Murano today. Unfortuantly the RX 330 was a tad out of my price range as I wanted a fully optioned vehicle. The Murano had everything I wanted and a sweet NAV system.

I will surely miss the RX300 as it was a great SUV.

Nissan is not the darkside...more like the bonjourside.
Its a nice SUV, good luck, hang around.

I agree, not exactly the dark side. Going European would be dark side.

Muranos are good vehicles. I had a friend down here whose wife had one. We had one problem with the transfer case cracking (my uncle fixed it), but I think since the first model year, they have corrected these deficiencies. Keep in mind this all occurred in Mexico, not something you will need to worry about.

That CVT tranny is quite smooth in it.

When I was helping her with that problem, I found http://www.nissanmurano.org/ to be a good group for support. Very knowledgable people who love their Muranos.

I actually hate the CVT tranny. i want to feel my gears change. In 2005 when bought my 2001 RX300 used, i could have bought a 2003 a fully optioned Maurano SE cheaper than my Lex. But i didnt feel the same wow factor like i did/do with my RX300. It was ride and comfort of the RX that won me over and the fact thatg i could get over how ugly the Murano looked coming. That grille IMHO is extremely ugly. At that time they we have alot of issues with the CVT. Buying a new 2007 would mean that you have several years of warranty. ENJOY YOUR RIDE

I also looked at the Murano and its a great car. But the price of the RX used was about the same as a used Murano (in my area). There were just more RXs around here used so with price being equal, I went with the Lex

Thanks. Glad to hear I will not be run out of here

I really like th ethe 2001 RX300 , but the engine was making internal noises after warmed up, and it had a possible sludge problem. I mean as soon as I would change the oil (M1 5W30) it would darken in color within a few miles of driving. Also it took for ever it seemed for the oil to find it's way to the pan when filling up with new oil. I played it safe and walked away with 105k on the odometer. I do not regret buying the Lexus at all!
