Nav problem please help !
Hey everyone newbie here. I just purchased a '02 Rx300 in Vapor Blue w/ nav. system. Problem is when I try to use the nav system it tells me that the "external device is not connected" and I can't get the system to work. Now I'm not new to Nav. systems as I traded in my '02 Is300 w/nav so they both should be gen 2 or 3 systems. It's just that my rx is missing the owners man. and I don't know where to look for the system and once I find it what to do?
Please help as I don't want to take it to the stealership to pay an arm and leg for a possible quick fix.
Thanks for your time.

Go www.lexus.com and register there as a new owner. There you can get a complementary owners manual.
There may be a pdf floating around on the net.

The nav computer is located on the RH side of the tire jack, (next to the am/fm antenna motor ) make sure the 3 plugs are plugged in, the small gray colored one is the antenna, the antenna actually is in front of the display on the dash. The 10 pin plug is the video plug, and the 20 pin plug is the power in and voice out to the amp..... if you have video, I would suspect the power in on the 20 pin plug, Pin #9 should be a red wire and is 12 volts continious, Pin 18 should be Gray, and is switched on and off with the ignition. Pin 17 is white/black and is the ground.
