Default Storage compartment rubber inserts...

The storage areas between the front seats are just bare plastic and change, keys and sun glasses slide in a maddening dance of noise with every corner I take.

Was there anti-skid rubber inserts that have been removed from my car or was Lexus exhibiting a macabre sense of humor by leaving them bare?

I'm not exactly sure which areas you're referring to. The upper drawer came with a dual cup holder on one side and a mesh cloth on the other side. I keep my sunglasses on the mesh cloth in the upper drawer since they are too large to fit in the glasses holder up above the rearview mirror.

The only change I keep in the car, I keep in the pull-out compartment to the lower left of the steering wheel. That works for me.

I purchased an anti-slip pad at Best-Buy that I have on top of the pop-up curpholders. I use this for short-term storage, in addition to the ashtray. I suppose you could put some carpet-like fabric on the floor in front of the two drawers to hold things too, but anything large would keep the bottom drawer from opening. I don't recall if there is a mesh pad on the bottom of the lower drawer, since it's always so full of stuff I can't see the bottom .

I guess you could always keep keys (or a coinholder) in one of the cupholders, if you're not using them to hold cups.

Felt piece may be missing or rolled up all the way in the back.

Ah, I have neither felt nor a mesh net. I'm taking it in next week for pads and rotors so I'll try the parts department (or the used car lot j/k) to see if they are available.

Thanks to you both.

I don't have any mesh net on a 99 or an 03 but the area on the top pull-out has felt on mine amd it seems loose and removeable, you might be able to just pick that up at a local discount store of some sort it's nothing special.

Don't spend too much money on it. It is nothing but a piece of soft cloth. Buy felt or denim in a color of your choice. [oem is black in color]
