I have a 2000 RX 300 AWD that just had the check engine light come on. I need the name and contact information for good, honest mechanic in the Lancaster PA area that can check the codes and service the car.

I have the same question about the Washington DC area (although I could conceivably drive to Lancaster for the right mechanic).

I don't know anything about the Lexus dealer associated with www.irontoad.com , but their parts prices are good mail-order. They're in Southeastern PA.

bob2200 is absolutely right on this one if you need a mechanic.

The only other thing I could recommend is if there is an Autozone, they will scan the code and if you could bring it to us, we can also help you that way.

The other thing is to go to your fuse box in the engine compartment, locate the EFI fuse and pull it out for a few seconds (key out of the ignition when you are doing this) and then put it back in and that will kill the light, but if something really is wrong it will come back.
