I been looking for a high output alternator for my 2000 rx300 for a while now. and so farI've only found 1 at H.O. Alternators but they are charging $650 and its only a 170 amp. I'm looking for maybe a 200 amp alternator or somewhere close that is a direct replacement of the stock. Does the RX300 share the same alternator as any other lexus or toyota?

 

The only post I remember was some one trying a smaller pully (increases rpms).

Highlander I think is the one closest.

I remember reading something about JPI alternators on Clublexus, but I have no experience with these. JPI is also the CL member name of the person who deals with the alternators.

You can get the heavy duty alternator that comes with the Lexus tow package. My RX300 has one, but I don't know its output.
