Default RX300 CD Error 3 and 4

My CD cartridge recently got jammed in the holder. I managed to pull it out and it appears to work fine except it keeps giving me Error 3 and sometimes 4. Does anyone know what these mean? I appreciate the help. If it helps, the holder is constantly making noises with or without the cartrdge in it.

Thanks,
David

I dont know how to interpret the error code. Maybe another member can shed light.

Although CD player can read burnt discs, but the ones you burn at home are usually thicker and if you add a label, they become more thicker, I would suggest that remove all home burnt cds and see if things improve.

Replacement options are to buy a new unit $$$ or look for a used unit.

My 2005 RX 330 had an error 4 also.... Just fixed mine. There was a jammed CD. I had to remove the radio unit, which was not too difficult...here are instructions.. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...oval-tutorial/
One out, you need to remove the outer brackets and then every little screw in order to take off the outer shell of the CD housing. The silver plate above the top CD in the unit can be lifted, and then carefully remove the CD. You need to move the CD around the little pegs or stems. Once that was done I plugged the unit back in to make sure that it worked before re mounting it. Mine did work and the problem was solved.
