Nav DVD upgrade for 2001 RX300

Does anyone have current information on Nav DVD upgrades for a 2001 RX300. Does one have to go to a dealership to get this done or is it possible to install it yourself? Any info on what versions that are currently avialable and are compatable with my car would be most appreciated.
