The trans in my 99' rx 300 will not shift into overdrive no matter what. Any ideas???

 

Welcome to CL David! I assume have the transmission in "Drive" and the thumb button on the shifter released. If the engine temperature is in the normal operating range, the transmission should shift into fourth gear and the torque converter lock up. If you are having a problem, you might have it checked by a good transmission shop or a Toyota dealer. If there is a problem, continuing to drive the vehicle will only make the repair more expensive
