Just to add i dont know if its available for your cars but ive seen this done a million times with the IS300. Go to the dealer and get a quote then buy the greddy timing belt (which is a better belt anyway) for around $130 and then take it back and hold them to their labor costs. it will save you around $200 on the job.

Default Greddy

Tell me more, please.

Where can you get Greddy timing belts for Lexus cars/trucks?
What makes them better than the OEM belt?

Thanks again,
Eph

I would have imagined that the lexus dealership would refuse putting in a non-oem part (belt in this case). Surely they make more money by selling the part, but they need to stand behind the repairs they make. I doubt they will take the risk/liability even though your substitute may be superior.

When they did this favor for you, did they put in a disclaimers? Regular repair work from Lexus carries a 1 yr warranty.
