acceleration, really 7.8 sec?
just finished 1000mile break in period, and floored it. I must say, i wasn't dissapointed. It accelerates very well, untill it reaches 100mph and switches to 5th gear, then it's reaaaally slow. I was racing my friend's 4.4L X5, and he just flew past me, as if i wasn't even moving!! at 100mph!!! I estimated that it accelerates from 0-60 in really early 8.
OH, one more question, has anyone tested this baby's top speed? i've noticed that it really starts to accelerate slowly when it reaches 100mph and changes to 5th gear? reached 110mph, then i reached the end of the road.
112 mph officially. There are devices one can buy, HKS and TTE I know offhand, that can be added to your ECM to break this limit. Would not recommend it if you are using stock tires, they are limited to 104.
Well, if you are interested, try these.

I could not get a direct link from TTEs site, but if you go to TTE.de, choose car model RX300XU1 and you will find:
TTE V-Max Kit
Electronic removal of the 180 km/h speed limiter
TÜV approved top speed over 200 km/h
No change of the electronic engine management
Three years warranty on the kit
Incl. TÜV approval (only in combination with "H"-tyres e.g. 17" standard tyres
I have seen a few RXs on Cardomain, who have done this to there RXs, but they ended up putting on 19 inch tires (Falkens) with Lowenhart rims. I am thinking similar lines, but going probably with Racing Hart lightweight rims.
However, living Mexico will brutalize your tires. Here, they make the tires sold here with two extra layers. So I am waiting until I go back to the U.S. to make the switch.

It's usually listed at the end of the tire info. For example: Nokian Hakkapeliitta 225/70R16 130T. T means up to 118 mph. Other ratings: Q=99 mph, S=112, H=130, V=149, Z=death wish
I think Dunlop Sport is Z rated.
