Harrier? I have never heard of it! Are they related to Toyota/Lexus?

Default You're kidding?

You've never heard of the Harrier? The Harrier is the RX300's daddy. It was first sold in Japan under the Toyota name, and then modifed for U.S. and other markets.

In Japan there is no Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, etc. All cars are sold under the parent company's name. The Japanese aren't as hung up on upscale image names as we are, they recognize quality whether it has a Toyota or Lexus name on it.

Yeah I knew about Japan not using Lexus, Acura, Infiniti names and just going with the parent company name. I just didn't know the RX was called Harrier in Japan.

Thanks for the info.

Not a problem. What's frustraing sometimes is that they'll equip the Japanese or European models with certain features before they release them here. Sometimes makes the U.S. customers drool with envy.
