Default User RX 300??

I'm considering getting a used RX300. Are all years RX300 pretty much the same? If not, what are the major differances?

What are problem areas to look for on a used RX300?

What about 2wd vs 4wd? I don't get a lot of snow, so if the 2wd had the same traction as my fwd Camry and ES300, that would be sufficient. Could I expect a 2wd RX to do as well in tha snow as my ES300?

How are most RX300s equipped, 2 or 4wd? Any special maintenance issues with 4wd? I heard that all wheel drive Suberus self distruct unless tires are perfectly matched. Same for the RX?

What do you think about the Lexus pre-owned certification, is it worth the bucks? Thanks

Well all the RX300 are pretty much the same, there's not really any major big differences between other years of the RX300. Yes RX300 is availabe in FWD and AWD, so it's up to you which one you want. If you really dont have a lot snow then maybe the FWD is good enough. The RX300 comes with "SNOW MODE" so drive if you're gonna drive in snow you can switch it on and the RX300 will be drivable in the snow.

If you go here http://www.lexus.com/cpo/model_library.html It will tell you specifically what are the differences and what has been added to each of the year.

Good luck in finding your RX300. You'll really like it a lot it's a good vehicle.
