My wife and I just bought a 2001 Toy Highlander. We could've bought the RX300 for luxury, but we bought the Highlander for the extra rooms. We went for the LTD off course.
Now what I would like to ask is could the center console from the RX300 fit inside the Highlander? The HL never did came w/ one, but they do offer one from the dealer. I already seen it and do not like the design of it. I have compared the inside of both the RX300 and HL and they are exactly alike. I like the center console inside the RX300 so I was hoping to buy one for my Highlander. Also does anyone know a website where I can buy or order one? Thanks......

You may seriously want to consider this move before going any further. To do something as you say would require more than just cosmetic changes. The wiring may be all different; the HVAC and stereo may have to be reworked to be compatible with the LCD, etc. And fit and finish may be a problem. Think of all the rattles that may come up. You will also be voiding a lot of warrantees. Your car's resale value will greatly diminish because of the changes, too. If you could pull it off, though, more power to you. Make sure you take some pictures!
As for locating parts, ask Steve Ganz (SupraTRD). He could probably hook you up with some great prices.

Jonathan, I think Van Solo is referring to the center console, the armrest/storage unit which fits between the two front seats. I guess it's similar to my Sienna minivan.
Van Solo, as Jonathan said, Steve Ganz is your man. He's on medical leave, but working from his home. Best way is email him at gonzo4u@earthlink.net. Tell him we sent you.
Also, if you have kids, you may also consider the aftermarket units with a built-in video entertainment system.
Good luck.

Yes Harrier, I am referring to the center console in between the two front seats. Not the center console on the dashboard. Though it would be nice if I can do it. Possible, but why waist my money on it? I could've just bought the RX300 instead.
Anyway, thankyou Harrier and QBranchCars I will send him an email for infos. For now I just want something to look good in between the front seats to hold my drinks and accessories. Also I only have an eleven months old son, so maybe two years from now I'll install that mobil entertainment system.
