Default Reaching 200k miles on a 2000 rx300

Since I’m reaching 200k miles should I start using 10w-30 instead of 5w-30? I heard that using a thicker oil on high mileage cars can help.

I say only if you are burning oil. Otherwise stick with oem recommendation in high mileage formula.

Stick with 5w-30 and use a good name brand high mileage version as chuyrobles mentioned.

Mine has 220K. I use Mobil1 10W40. Ultra reliable. I did hack the knock sensor wiring.
