Broken middle console driver side vent.
Hello,
2002 RX300 broken middle console driver side vent. One of the vertical vents is loose and not connected to the others. Any ideas how to fix, simple hack, or find a replacement? I googled and shopped but not that many resources or I am not searching the correct name.
Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Go to online parts retailers like Lexus of South Atlanta parts and drill down to your model.
For the part you are looking for would be Interior parts -> dash [my guess]
At this time your best bet would be from salvage yards like LKQ or similar.
I have no idea how to pop out the old vent and insert the new or the dash has to be pulled apart to access from behind.

Note: As the vehicle has aged the plastic parts become brittle. At times it is better to live with a problem then to try to fix and create more.
PS: I posted this link a few days ago.

I've never removed this one. I just fixed one on a VW Jetta MK4 where someone stuck one of those iPhone holders in the vent and broke a vane. Each vane has pins at the ends that fit into holes in a common carrier rail so they move as one. To replace the broken pin I drilled a tiny hole at the end of the vane and pushed the pointy metal pin from a pushpin through the carrier hole into the drilled hole in the vane.

I had a center vent with the same issue - the only part available was the entire surround and both vents - very expensive. That part is no longer available and I suspect the same of the side vents. You can try removing and disassembling the vent and epoxying the broken part(s). Or you may be able to find one at a salvage yard.
