Team Need for Speed racing team adds Time Attack 1,100-HP Scion TC
Chris Rado has added another car to Team Need for Speed: an 1,100-horsepower all-wheel drive Scion TC taking aim at the Time Attack series. It's taken a few years to take the idea from concept to reality, and pictures of the build make it clear why. The zebra-marked tC with gold-plated bulkhead and hood-exit exhaust made its debut last weekend at Road Atlanta, and for some reason – maybe the snowplow? – we wouldn't be surprised to see it on a mountain in Colorado someday. Have a closer look at it in the gallery of high-res photos below.

I think this comment from Autoblog says it all for me:
I think there needs to be a rule for all types of racing (at least ones that use modified production vehicles) that the drivetrain must remain intact and true to original form. Maybe that way if companies like Toyota wanted to actually be competitive in racing they'd be forced to give consumers a decent model first.

I feel your pain, but if we want high quality, decent cars like Toyota used to make in the past, we need to wait longer. We are suffering right now because Toyota had poor leadership for the past 10 years. Things are different now with Akio Toyoda. Change will take time though.
A lot of Lexus fans waited for what seemed like an eternity for the production LFA to be revealed, but it was worth the wait in the LFA's case.
Hopefully it's worth the wait for the FT-86, and other rumored Toyota products like a new Supra or Supra successor.
