I am looking for some feedback from members that run wider then stock tires on their cars to find out just how wide they have gone and do not have rubbing issues.
A little background, I am using the OE rims, car is lowered and runs on KW v3 coil-overs.
I track the car occasionally and because of the hefty-ness of the car I am really doing a number on the front tires, also in photos (see below) I notice on turns that the tire starts to roll under the lip of the rim.
The OE sizes have a bit of stretch to them when on the factory wheels and it has me thinking of going 1 or 2 + sizes.
Running the 275/35s up front and maybe getting a set of 295's out back. Any thoughts?
I believe 295/30/19 are the widest you can go on the rear especially if you are using OEM wheels.
Adding more negative camber (since you have coilovers) helps, but an easier solution is in the tires. What tires are you using? The issue is less about width of the tire and more about how strong/rigid the sidewalls stay under heavy corner load. The tires rolling under wheels you described, is what annoyed me the most about OEM tires. I went with very stiff/reinforced sidewalls to get the sidewall to not roll under the wheel under hard turning and having 96Y front and 100Y rear with 37 PSI front and 39 PSI rear really helps a ton.
Adding onto what Rolla said, 275/35s up front rub, 275/30s fit fine according to @Mingofish. From what I can recall he ran 275/30 square on his car since 295/30s square rub a bit. Here's what he said https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...-build-10.html
